'Ki rest to this penny brother', after another flop by Kohli, people's patience broke

Virat Kohli played his first match of the ongoing ODI series between India and England on Thursday, 14 July but again failed to make much of an impact. The 33-year-old missed the first game at the Kennington Oval in London due to injury and replaced Shreyas Iyer at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

He started his innings with eight dot balls.

After being asked to chase down 248 at Lord's, India were dismissed cheaply by Rohit Sharma. Kohli came to bat in the third over and opened his innings with eight dot balls.

Thereafter, Kohli improved his game and hit Tople for three brilliant boundaries. But then Kohli had good luck on the first ball of the 11th over as the inner edge of his bat did not hit the stumps.

Kohli's luck ran out in the very next over.

But in the very next over, Kohli's luck got spoiled. Left-arm pacer David Willey took the wicket of Virat, who has not scored a century since the day-night Test against Bangladesh in November 2019.

Willie bowls a good length delivery and Kohli makes a possible strike on it. To Kohli's dismay, he got an outside edge and Jos Buttler took a simple catch.

Out for 16 runs in 25 balls with the help of three fours

Kohli was dismissed for 16 runs in 25 balls with the help of three fours. When Kohli left, India were on 31 for the loss of four wickets in 11.2 overs.

Shikhar Dhawan and Rishabh Pant also failed to reach double digits. Topley got the important wickets of Rohit, Dhawan and Suryakumar Yadav.

People lost their patience after another flop innings

Meanwhile, fans were not happy with Kohli's dismissal. He slammed Kohli for yet another failure in international cricket.

Because after the dismissal of Kohli, the rest of the batsmen got out even after freezing. Players like Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja did not get big innings even after solidifying.

Now working as a ransom for the team

The main point in most of the reactions on the social media about Kohli was that how long will the BCCI continue to feed Virat Kohli on the basis of old reputation? How long will this go on saying repeatedly that Kohli will soon return to his old form?

One user has even said that, now he is working as a ransom for the team...somebody give rest to this man, brother.
